so many reasons to be thankful

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had. We spent the entire week in Chelan with our family. And on the Dobbs side we even celebrated Christmas (since some of us can't come back next month). The kids did great, everyone was healthy, and we enjoyed our time immensely. God has given us so much to be thankful for!

A Great Day

We had a great day yesterday. Patrick had the day off so we loaded up and headed to Seattle for the day. My sister-in-law, Jee Young, works at the Burke Museum so we went there first and she gave us a wonderful tour. What a fun homeschooling field trip! Liam loved the dinosaurs! Audrey's favorite was the volcano section. Then we went out to lunch and shopped a bit. Then we met Luke at their new house. It's a great house in a beautiful neighborhood and we had a very fun visit. So thankful to have Luke and Jee Young close by again!

Time...

How do I make time stand still?? Audrey is almost 6 - that means she's already 1/3 of the way done with her time in our home. Liam just turned 4, wasn't he just a baby? Ethan is already 4 mos. - and since I'm fairly certain he's my last, I get very sad that I'll never have a newborn again. They are just so precious and time goes way too fast. OK, yes, they're all asleep right now which makes this reflection even possible - but really - how do I make time stand still?

look who's four!!

Liam is four today! We had a nice family celebration. He got to go pick out a new bike with money from G'ma and G'pa. He also got a fun new Diego toy and his first RC car. We went out to eat at La Fiamma - his favorite pizza place. And he made bear sugar cookies to take to school to celebrate there. He's such a big boy. It's so much fun to watch his personality and character take shape. What a blessing he is to our family!

Voting in the Oscarson Home

So as I mentioned previously, we voted in the Oscarson home on Tuesday. I made ballots for everyone to fill out and asked Audrey to find something for us to put them in. This is what she found. Her rainboots! And she ran out of room for McCain, so we voted for Barack Obama or John. Very cute. Gotta start somewhere!

A cheerleader, a football player, and a mouse

Very fun Halloween last night. It rained all day, then got dry and warm just when it was time to go out. Patrick got home from work early so the whole family went around our neighborhood together. The big kids are trick-or-treating experts now and Ethan enjoyed an evening walk in the stroller.
