school's out for summer!!

We had a wonderful year of school. The kids worked very hard and I'm so proud of them. We wrapped up our year with a fun outing this morning to the local frozen yogurt store and a park. Yippee for summer vacation!

And can you believe we now have a 4th grader, and 2nd grader, and a preschooler?? Time is flying by, that's for sure.

our dancing girl

Audrey had a dance recital tonight and it was beautiful. She did a wonderful job. She gets a little nervous ahead of time - but when she's on stage she just lights up. Such a joy to watch!

taking this show on the road

Patrick calls this group Brimstone Malone and the Half-Pint Hillbillies.
I just call them MINE.
Happy Father's Day, Patrick. You're an amazing Dad.

football camp

Liam participated in a football camp this week and absolutely LOVED it. The coaches and high-school players who led it were wonderful. He had fun and learned a lot. I definitely think we've got football in our future!

around our house today

There's a load of clothes in the washer and a load in the dryer.
The big kids are at the dining room table finishing up their school work for the day.
I'm baking homemade granola which needs to be stirred every 15 minutes.
While it's cooking, I jump on the elliptical and run for about 14.5 minutes. Jump off. Stir granola. Repeat.
Now I need to get in the shower and get the kids fed before Audrey heads off to dance class and Liam goes to football camp.
Busy. Tired. Thankful.

vacation

We just returned from a week in Chelan. Patrick and I both grew up there and cannot remember a time when it has rained so much. The kids only got in the pool three times all week! But we enjoyed safe travel, good health, and wonderful family time - and for that we are very grateful.

Ethan is swimming solo for the first time. Yippee!!
Ethan and cousin Johanna had a great time squirting the big kids.
All five of the Oscarson cousins. We don't get to see them often enough!
I just had to get a shot showing how tall Erick is - my kids have some growing to do!
Ethan and Abram had lots of fun together this week. Here they are playing a card game that they made up their own rules to. They were both cracking up!
Great vacation. Glad to be home. Two more weeks of hard work and we'll wrap up this school year (insert Mama cheering loudly here!).
